About Me
I started doing photography as a hobby while working in international development in Laos. I would take my camera along when I visited projects; whenever possible, I'd schedule my trips with an extra half-day of free time so I could wander the jungle trails alone. Often, I went out before dawn, when the trails were quieter and the light magical.
After 16 beautiful years in Laos, we had to move back to the USA for a family member's health reasons. The rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest has been therapy for me in that transition. As I've wandered the forests, climbed mountains, and camped by backcountry lakes, the beauty of creation has reminded me that I can both grieve what I've left behind and also love the beauty of a new life ahead.
I hope these images bring you as much joy, wonder, and awe as I experienced seeing these places in person. God is good, and nature is his gift to us.
